t25. TR 1.8 Petrol Estate 2008. What can I Program

Hi All,

I recently got my car. Its a 2008 estate Petrol. I was just wondering if its possible to program a few things. It has electric All auto windows. It has electric folding mirrors.

I was wondering if i could do the following.

 

1. Auto fold mirrors when I turn the ignition off.

2. Auto close all windows when I turn the ignition off.

As stock afaik, no & no.

Iirc you can do 1. but it requires buying & installing some hardware.

Oh Do Tell, what kinda of hardware. As long as its not buying a monkey who I later have to train to close all windows before the relay turns off power to all windows, I am good.

Iirc it involved buying a relay/kit from the Far East. Probably best to search the forum (bearing in mind that a lot of this stuff is common across multiple models).

This isn't exactly an answer per se, but the electric windows stay live for (IIRC) 30 secs when you turn the ignition off.  It might cancel if you open the drivers door tho, or that might have been another car I owned.

Vauxhall had auto windows, which if you held the close button on the remote, or turned and held the key, after the doors lock the windows close.
