Aygo Go! Front Bumper cover has come loose

Recommended Posts

Hello All

The front bumper cover on my Aygo has recently come loose, I have had a search online and seen some posts about replacing the entire thing. However I was wondering if you know if this is fixable? Can you tell from the photos what I need to do to fix it? Or have I snapped something thus rendering it unfixable?

Thanks in advance!

Hi seaelaine,

As soon as I read the title to your post Ithought 'ahh I wonder whether its the same as what happened to mine?' And yes indeed, this exact same thing happened to mine. The good news is, no the bumper doesn't need replacing. After looking online I went down to my local dealer and they said there's a black plastic 'retaining clip' behind there which is bolted onto the chassis itself. Quite an easy and cheap fix (about £6 for a new clip iirc at the time) and about 10 mins to do. I'm sure the dealer could do it although obviously for a charge as usual. Good luck :)

this is great news thank you! Is it easy to locate the retaining clip?

you should be able to find the clip yourself or at least where it is fixed to

in picture 5 you can see 4 oblong holes the clip locates into these 4 holes

so from this info you shoud be able to find the other half and see where its

bolted onto the car.

sorry i cant help any more

Do you think I'll need to remove the whole bumper cover to swap out the broken clip?
