5 speed manual swap corolla e11 & e12

Hi Guys!

I'm new in this forum but I have my Corolla e11 facelift 1.4vvti since 2001 (4zz-fe).

I need your help with an issue with my transaxle 5 speed manual. I have to replace it, it has a problem. I have a really good price to replace it by a 2 hand one of a corolla e12 1.4vvti 2003 (4zz-fe)

Outside it looks like the same except the selector. E12 selector is longer than e11. The bolts are in the same parts but I dont know if I can change it and it will fit.

Hi,

I have tried to swap the selector part and it works. They have the same parts in the same place of the shaft.

Somebody told me that the 2003 one is longer cause the 2003 corolla is longer and may be it is softer than 2001 corolla.

The rest of the transaxle is the same inside and outside but the 2003 corolla has not speedometer cable. You have to remove a plug and instal the meter.
