OK Now I truely have had enough of working in IT...

Have you ever had those days when you just get fedup and want to throw it all in....

I'm supposed to be a UNIX Consultant so nicely away from those silly phone calls you always get when working up to better things, today has just taken the mick....

Usuers suffering from unclicked boxes on login to people trying to open documents by typing in a name of files that don't even exist then screaming down the phone to me (Why should be helpdesk anyway)....

Anyone think of a job for a 28 yr old UNIX Admin that's been in IT since day 1, only other experience is in Pubs and Hotels.....

Don't need to earn silly money just to do something challenging and keep a roof over my head, rubber under my car, and pay for essentials liquids, namely petrol and beer, not neccessarily in that order....

Sorry rant over.....

Unfortunately not that uncommon....

I spent a year and a half after being laid off applying for a minimum of 10 jobs a day every interview I got I was either "Over-Qualified" for or not given a !Removed! chance...

Im just bored of the whole IT scene at the mo, guess I could just be in the wrong place at the mo....

Still at the end of he day rhaines its a job. A friend of mine was working in IT as well and he was given the boot after working for them a very long time.

He now finds it hard to get a job back in IT. So now he works as a security guard. He has no choose with that. He needs the money to pay for his mortgage and car.

So at the end of the day its may be best to stay at what you know best. With jobs so hard to come across it's not safe to just cut and run from a job as you might not get back in the game again!! Tomorrow will be a better day. :D :rolleyes:

I imagine you'd get an enormous amount of satisfaction lining up a load of old PCs and blowing them away – I know I would!

Yeah, instead of clay pigeon shooting and the like you could go PC shooting!

major stress relief!

I spent a couple of days at the Royal Marine Commando base in Plymouth last August while I was photographing a friend's wedding on the base. Great place and boy can these guys drink. It was a free bar and come midnight it was just about empty except for the babycham, but who was gonna touch that.

Wish I could offer some carer options but haven't got a scooby doo.

Unless of course you can sing. I know a couple of agents..............

Hey, just pack it all in & claim to be an asylum seeker, you will then be financially secure & will be given a job that all of us would give our right arms for!!!!
