Some MOT testers will try anything to get some extra cash out of you, suggest you check the following link (maybe even print it out) in case they try anything.

3 faults ..

Handbrake cables

Low pads

Drop links ..

these common things for the mr2 then?

Posted

The handbrake cables usually freeze and streach over winter due to the car design ..

Pads wear quick cause it's a failry heavy car ..

Droplinks and bearings are things a garage can charge a lot for and hard to prove they were okay before the MOT ..

Posted
hard to prove they were okay before the MOT ..

so they damage them while checking???

Posted

or just replace them and charge you ..
