I recently bought this 86 Corolla (62K miles) convertible that was apparently modified to be a convertible by a limousine company in Hollywood, American Custom Coachworks. My requests to them for further information about this car (such as when the modifcations were made, how many of them did they do, etc) have all received the same reply, complete silence.

So I thought I would ask some of 'em here. Has anybody ever seen or even heard of such a thing? Does it have an particular value above what any other 86 Corolla might sell for? Was chopping Corollas into convertibles a common practice?
