All doors or just 1/2? Do they actually rattle or is just movement in the seals? & is it all the time or does it only happen if you do something like go over a bump?

I know this is also a dumb question but they are close all the way right? Or is there something blocking it from closing?

Thanks for your help, the doors seem to rattle  ,seems like all of them, when I go over our very uneven roads ..they do not seem loose when shut ,so maybe its because of the  stiff suspension .... it is certainly a harder ride than my last car for ten years. bmwe46 3 series..  ps ..I will keep this car longer I hope

Are you sure that the it is the doors rattling & not something in the door pockets? Have you checked the hinges?

There was an issue on some with the doors cracking by the door check straps but afaik it was remedied in production by 2012.

I am fairly sure that my driver's door moves a bit in the seals (I put it down to being an early build of the facelift) when I go over a bad bump etc. but it doesn't rattle nor afaik do any of the others.

Could it be the window winding mechanism - ie the regulator or slding arm

Yes I had this problem on my 2011 tourer the rubber door seals were replaced under warranty two years ago and cured the problem but the doors a rattling again now.
