2001 Avensis D4D emissions

Hi

I got 51 plate avensis D4D. It has done 340,000miles. It has recently failed MOT on emissions.

The car has been serviced. I have done the diesel treatment. Changed the EGR valve and also changed air flow sensor. The emissions are 6.40 and has slight white smoke when revving.

Phenomenal mileage! I have the same one, it passed its MOT but it does sometimes put out smoke when accelerating. To be honest, its a big engined diesel so its never going to be clean. Once mine dies I'm looking to get a hybrid or full electric, to try and atone for all the years of filth I've been pumping out the back!
