Tow Bar Experience

Hello All.

Just bought a rav4.2.

Does anybody have any experience of fitting a tow-bar on a 3 door rav mk2?

Can this be done by a novice like myself following clear instruction or would I be better off getting a garage to do the work and how much is all this likely to cost?

I watched when I had a tow bar fitted to my rav 4.3. The bumper is so floppy when it is undone, that it took 2 of them to get it off safely.

After that the fitting of the actual bar was straight forward as all the holes etc are already there. 

The biggest problem in my opinion is the electrics but you may be able to get dedicated plug in ones.

The fitting instructions are on the toyota-tech.eu website. Can't help you on cost , mine was fitted by Mr T when I bought it new.
