I would love if you guys give me your thoughts on this and recommend me with the right sizes i should purchase. I have no idea of the wheel width i should get or size.
Is a 15" good? too small? too big? am not going by the looks on the size am just trying to be as "factory" as i can so the car wont get damaged. I would also love if any of you could also recommend me on what size tire i should put on the wheels. (Am leaning more on the 15" cause of the price and lower gas consumption i guess? )

Thanks in advance for reading.
Charis.

As yours is the 1.33 it comes with 16" wheels as standard. I changed mine to 17" with 205/45/17 tyres. If you look at my thread (link in my signature) you will see them, they look similar to the first wheel you posted. Unless you are after more comfort in ride I'm not sure why you'd go down to 15" wheels?

I'm on 17x7 wheels too with 205/45 17 tyres.

I went with this size as you really don't loose much in the ride of the vehicle, slightly harder I guess due to the decreased side wall height but barely noticeable and as the tyre is a very common size there are lots of choices out there depending on budget.

The downside is the tyres are a lot wider which looks great, really suits the car but it does increase rolling resistance so MPG does go down a bit. On my winter tyres which are the standard size I get around 49-51 MPG and with the summer wheels on I get around 45-47mpg.

What would the ideal tire size be for 15x7 on front and 15x8 on the back?

are you in the US (going by your use of "tire" & "gas"? If so you may find an American forum of more use as this is primarily  a forum for UK/Europe.

You earlier stated that you wanted to go 15" to keep it "factory" but as Mark has said in the UK the factory size for the 1.33 was 16". Similarly, you stated that you were also looking at 15" for the better gas mileage but putting 7" or 8" wheels on means wider tyres which means lower mpg (rolling resistance & drag).

I am in Europe from Cyprus i would also like to keep it at 15" cause of the wheels it had when it was delivered which were 15" and also for the price. I know that the width will affect my mpg but i am willing to sacrifice some mpg. My current question is what the ideal tire size would be if i go for 15x7 on front and 15x8 on back.

Is 215/45 R15 good enough? is it small? will it get stretched?

The standard size is 175/65 R15, rolling radius on 215/45 R15 is 5.6% less (& I can tell you from personal experience that 45 profile tyres even with flange protection are far more prone to allowing rim damage & far harder riding. Your ride height will drop by 17mm & your speedo will over read by nearly 6% from previous (in itself probably ~6% over true) - this may make it illegal.

225/50 R15 would be about right but there are very few tyres made in that size. A lot more in 205/55 R15 which would also keep a similar rolling radius.

so you recommend me to stick to 15x7 and use 205/55 R15 tyres?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

well, I wouldn't recommend the 215/45 R15 ...

It depends what look you are trying to achieve. Most people are trying to make the arches look more full so tend to go up wheel sizes as Craig & Mark have done.

The normal range of rim width for 205/55 R15 is 5.5>7.5J with 6.5 probably being the optimal but 7J should be fine.

At least in the UK any wheel/tyre change from oem should be notified to your insurer.
