I've just had 4  new tyres fitted to my 2011 Aygo and had the tracking checked. They said the fronts needed slight adjustment but the rear wheels toe in was too much I think they said 4mm instead of 1mm. The rear tyres were both worn on the outer edges. When asked if they could be fixed they said the rear toe in couldn't be adjusted!

Is this common? Is there any way to adjust the rear tracking?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know about the Aygo specifically but usually there's no rear tracking adjustment available on run of the mill cars. It might alter due to wear in radius arm bushes or other parts of the rear suspension or due to crash damage. I copied a post from another forum which gives the figures for the front and rear geometry, it says rear toe is 2.5mm plus or minus 1.5mm which would put yours just within the max limit.

Deffo no adjustments on the rear of 1st gen Aygos. As has been said, if its out then it can only be bushes or somethings bent.

Kwik-Fit told me my alignment was out and needed adjusting, I took the printout to the main dealer and it turns out had the wrong specifications for my Aygo (2012) totally different to the official Toyota specs. May be worth checking before replacing things.
