custom made lenses are also about £250 if you go for good ones like Zeiss and things like that which i strongly recommend as they are far better quality than lesser brands and NHS stuff!

Arrghhhhhhh! I got prescription sunglasses last year *on the side* for £50, quite smooth....

But now i wear contacts, so i can now wear my Oakleys and whatever and still have my vision.....

IF, u had Oakleys, they'd have to tailor make the lens to suit the frame.....hance a bit more than £50!

Best of luck tho

i had Zeiss lenses made for mine and they were with photocromatic light sense aswell for £325 and then the frames on top of that!

they dont have to cost that much but you are paying for quality with them and if you talking about your own sight and driving then as far as im concerned youve got to have the highest quality available!

very expensive yes but then i ware glasses everyday of my life!

i mainly wear contacts aswell at the minute although theres nowt like the hassle free thing of specs

also contact lenses are crap at night and when you start to fell tired and the moisture content on your eyesurface decreases they get very uncomfortable!

I wore glasses for 4yrs, hated the thought of contacts, 'no chance'... tried them for free down specsavers (year ago) inc eye test blah blah, superb!

I wear contacts for everything, havent had a problem since. Use glasses when cant be bothered, eg not going ne where, watching a dvd etc....

Go contacts

(thinking about laser?!)

You got me thinking now  But I only wear glasses for driving  so it would really be a waste of time coz I can see fine for reading etc.
