Toyota Down

Hello,

Maybe someone can help! I have a 1990 celica and it's down. The car while driving just died trying to start it would just turn the motor, then I disconnected the vacuum hose that goes to the vacuum sensor and it will start but very sluggish. Slow acceleration while parked the engine will raise in RPM reconnect the vacuum hose and it dies. Reading the codes from the box, it reports the air flow meter is the problem. To be honest I can't even find the air flow meter, the manual has it in the drivers side Qpanel it's not there.

Thanks for any help.

Keith

Has the big pipe from the airbox to the inlet manifold got a split in it, or even come loose :( .

As a matter of fact it has, a small crack right at the throttle body. I wrapped it with elec. tape, I think it's sealed up real good. Do you think it might have this affect.

Thank you,
