No fuel to engine

I just switched the engine on a 2007 d4d 2.0litre avensis and there is no fuel getting to fuel filter and no power at the fuel pump. I used the injectors off the old engine. I have power at the efi relay and fuse at the engine bay but nothing happened when i tried bridging the fuel pump at the relay as no power is even getting down to pump. Is there a process when switching engins that the ecu needs to recognise. It turns over and if i prime the filter it wants to start but then filter empties straight away. The immobalizer is working fine aswell as soon as key goes in ignition the light stops blinking.
