Hi guys I spotted this yesterday while washing my 2013 Aygo, I have had the car since January and had not noticed it before. My question is should I just try to sort it out (fine paper/rust cure and paint), or should I bring it to the attention of the dealer that I got the car from (Lancaster Romford). Oh just in case you cannot see it is on the top edge of the filler cap opening.

Thanks in advance

The dealer probably won't be interested I'm afraid but it is easily sorted out  It looks like a small ding caused by careless fuel filing whereby the nozzle has caught the edge of the filler cap. Get some Genuine Toyota touch up paint and it will fix it with ease. The result will 99% invisible if you take a bit of care. I've fixed some quite obvious marks on my bumper (caused by other people's careless parking ) and you would need a magnifying glass to see them. But I cant emphasise enough - use genuine Toyota touch up.

Thanks for the reply any advice as to the best way to deal with the rust, should i just use some fine paper and rust remedy before painting?

A blob of rust inhibitor would be a good idea. It might not need any rubbing down unless there is loose rust. I would advise against using the brush that comes with the touch up. Use a cocktail stick or similar.

Thanks again Dark' have just spoken to my local dealer and it would seem that I have to go in to order and pay for the touch up stick and then go back to collect it when in, can't even pay over the phone.....so day off tomorrow to order and hopefully pick it up on Sunday.
