Which spark plugs for 08 Auris SR?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding the brand of spark plugs to fit to my 08 Auris SR.  My local Euro parts sells Denso and NGK. See link below

http://www.eurocarparts.com/spark-plugs

Also I was going to do this myself and was wondering if there is anything in particular I should look out for when doing this? (My only experience to date is watching a lot of Ytube vids)

Thanks

Your car uses Denso Iridium SC20HR11 which seems to be used in most recent Toyota petrol engines.

If you are patient and wait a couple of days, then do what I did and buy from the following - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-Auris-Spark-Plugs-Set-of-4x-90919-01253-SC20HR11-Denso-IRIDIUM-/261313576243?hash=item3cd780bd33:g:QvgAAOxyg7xSaOMa

Also you need a small spark plug socket as the plugs are even smaller than previous.

I got the following from Machine Mart which is in my socket kit: - https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/laser-4376-8mm-38-drive-thin-wall-spark-plug/

My socket as you can see in the following picture does not have the wide collar which could make a tight fit or even stop it being inserted

So make sure it looks like this to be safe. It has sprung metal to hold the spark plug. Apparently the magnetic ones loose their magnetic strength over time!

Other options are: - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trident-T322200-Thin-Wall-Spark-Plug-Socket-BMW-Mini-Merc-Ren-Cit-Peu-14mm-BiHex/221197587139?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35391%26meid%3D671a610d436d460c9b90d4d8136ea2ef%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D181040911872

A lot cheap than Eurocarparts.
