replacing rear brakes

Spent the weekend replacing rear pads ,shoes,and disc ,what a flipping job ,at one point I nealy set fire to it.everything was sized up .I did find one of the back plates was rusty and holed ,so I repaired it with fibre glass and p38 sprayed it up with some black paint job done.I'm not going to pay. £70 for second hand ........

Can't find the back plates for sale anywhere in UK....like rocking horse ****.....

partsgateway.co.uk  sent me  .two quotes  of £72  one from derby auto salvage ,  and jap parts 4 u    if that's helps

I got a scapping noise on the left wheel now and again when going round corner and the hand brake not up to much will this improve with use, I did adjust the shoe up before putting the hub back on
