More good old 2AD engine questions

Hi,

Problems with the 2AD engine are well documented, but does anybody know what % of car these problems have affected?

Or are people aware of many that have gone on to 100000+ miles without the problems occurring.

I have a 2.2 diesel Rav 4 with the dreaded engine so am keen to know how much I should be worrying.

only Toyota really know & they are not likely to release that kind of info ...

My best guesstimate from a few things over the years is that it's (probably well) under 5%.
