Hi there

I've been having some trouble with my 2007 t180 2.2 rav smoking a lot lately I've the dpf checked and seems fine all the pressure pipes clear and was advised on here to have it checked to see if had the latest update for the ecu so I went to my local toyota dealer and had it checked and they said that it was all up to date ! I spoke to the technician that did the diagnosis he said it could be one of two things either the 5th injector or the egr valve and mentioned something about over fuelling I have cleaned the egr a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to move freely but he said it could be sticking! What I want to know is would it be possible to disconnect the 5 th injector and see if the smoke stops just so I know what is causing the problem and what kind of job is it to replace the injector or could the egr valve be sticking and that's what is causing the smoke because it looks as if it's trying to regen

any help would greatly appreciated

Thanks Mike
