2003 TSport - o2 sensors

Hi

I am getting a P0135 error code (with check engine light) which I think means one of the 02 sensors....

Does the corolla tsport have 2 sensors or just one..... 

 

I can see one sensor on the engine -- underneath the car but cannot see one on the manifold in the engine bay (even with the heat shield off)

I have no idea if they have two but sometimes there is a sensor under the exhaust just after the catalytic converter.

There are 2, one pre-cat and one post-cat.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor 1st.

Cleaning MAF didn't make any difference so had to change the first o2 sensor....

In my 2003 tsport, there are indeed two sensors --- but accessible only from underneath the car. There are just before and just after the cat....

So I replaced the first one, cleared the 'check engine' P0135 code. Took it for a 40km run and thank goodness, so far no more warning lights....
