Hello guys,

I want to buy an used car and I was thinking in buying a Corolla. It will no be my first car and I want a reliable car. I was told that Toyota is a reliable car but because it is used I don't know at what extend this affirmation holds.

First some general questions. In general, for a used car what should people should be aware? A car with 120.000 miles is a lot?

I have seen some used Corollas and I liked a Corolla with the following specs:

2003, Hatchback, 127,000 miles, Manual, 1.6L and Petrol.

Mot until 28/03/2017,2 f/kprs,2 keys, starts and drives, part exchange to clear sold as spares or repairs, Sunroof Electric (Glass Tilt/Slide), Climate Control, Alloy Wheels (15in), Computer, Electric Windows (Front/Rear), In Car Entertainment (Radio/CD). 5 seats, GREY, £695 p/x to clear.

That said, I wanted to know what you guys think about the car and if a car with such a high mileage is a reliable car. If even though it is a reliable car, if I get an appointment to see the car what should I ask and what should I check?

Can anyone tell me how much fuel the car consumes?

Regards.

At that mileage its anyones guess, it could be good for many thousands of miles.

Same with petrol , I get 40 - 42 mpg but it all depends on your type of  driving.

To me,  they are being unusually honest  in that advert,  it "starts and drives"  and they are selling it as " to clear sold as spares or repairs " ,   means its way past it in my book.
