Had My Alphard hybrid filled today , this has been more of a faff than I first thought as all the main cheap aircon merchants quickfit, formula one ect will not touch hybrids so I found one today, change out of £60 and did it while I waited all in all less than an hour ..well pleased back in a couple of weeks for a free recheck .  Would recommend Mark 4 airconditioning Slough. So that's for a hybrid as well ..never even considered a main stealer .....For a straight alphard £39.99 at formula one depots It's a game, is it not.

Don't toyota hybrids use a different aircon gas to normal cars?

My gen3 has never needed the gas recharged unlike my old astra which needed it ever couple of years.

I think so; IIRC because the HSD's use an electrical pump rather than a mechanical one the gas used has to be certified to not generate static or not be conductive or something like that.

The trick with aircon longevity is to use it as regularly as you can and you will hardly ever need to regas it; This is why cars with good automatic climate control tend to keep their gas longer than on/off aircon, as they periodically cycle the aircon to keep it in good shape and to stop the seals drying out.

The only exclusions from the Inchcape offer is the GT86, the Prius Plus and taxis.
