Hey folks,

i'm currently running on some alloys, but damn they rub in the back over speed bumps and in the front when having full lock either direction.

The specs are 195/50/R15, ET35.

My question is what is the best size for 15 inch rims without them rubbing?

cheers,

Robert

With your current wheels and tyres, your speedo is under-reading - which is illegal

And that's probably why they're rubbing too!

Just google tyre size calculator, you put in the factory specs and then it spits out appropriate tyre sizes for different rims sizes...

I am actually quite surprised at this. Although I use 45 profile, mine dont rub on full lock at all, and very, very rarely catch on the rear. This is on top of my car being around 50mm lower on the rear and 60mm on the front. I would have thought that the difference in tyre profile between 45 and 50 would be less than the drop on my car. That said, I run 37mm offset but I wouldnt have thought 2mm would make enough of a difference. I guess it shows just how tight the clearances are on our Aygos!
