Double din to single din radio conversion

Hi,

I have a 2005 Rav4 DVD XT5 and the satnav system has failed, meaning I have to change the whole unit as the radio won't work while the satnav doesn't.

Too expensive to go double din again, so want to convert it to single din radio slot. Have found a CD Radio Stereo Single Din Fitting Kit Fascia Panel on Ebay which seems to come with the electrical components needed but do I need to do to do anything else to ensure the volume etc runs off the steering wheel like the existing system does?

you need to get a steering wheel control stalk adaptors from the likes of connects2 , but its very easy to get the wrong one, i did. 

if you get the correct one for your ICE and the car its just a case of plug in back of stereo and connect to the block connector from the wheel 

i didn't faff about any more on it , just use the remote.
