Interesting fact of the day for 2nd September:

Today, in 1666 was the day the Great Fire of London started in Pudding Lane. It burned for three days and destroyed over 13,000 houses, 87 churches and St Pauls Cathedral.

This is a regular feature of both the Scotsman and the Glasgow Herald although one of them uses now and then but I always find them interesting......clearly becoming too much of a nerd :lol:

Did you know, if you laid 'Monument' in London on its side it would stretch accross the whole length of area that the great fire of london spread. (or something to that effect)
