Just wondering guys but when you put the accelerator to the floor on my Aygo, you can then push it down further (doesn't hold into place, so if you took your foot off it would obviously spring back up) and you can feel it making a noise when it does this. I've read up about it and apparently there quite common in automatics (unless I've read it wrong) and it's a   "feature" apparently but is this what the new Aygo x-cite 2's have ? It does sometimes feel you have a turbo when you make the extra push down but maybe it's just me wanting to  believe that ?

Cheers guys !

Could be kickdown, but I noticed the same thing in the 2012 Avensis 2.2 which was a manual. I haven't noticed it in the 2012 Aygo I have now, so it could be something to do with the drive by wire mechanism which the Avensis would have but the old Aygo might not. It could also be to do with the safety features built into the pedals to prevent them being forced back up towards the driver in an accident.

It doesn't seem to do anything in terms of lights coming on or noises after the initial pedal been out down. I had a look at it properly and just seems to be a little strange, nothing concerning just unsure of what it was.

Cheers Ben !

The sensation is a switch which when pressed overrides the speed limiter when set.
