Hello 

Im am new to this forum , so my story is i was driving back from work and all of a sudden , my engine light came on amd car shut off , i was able to tow car to a garage , anyway the guys told me now that its not selecting gears (2007 avensis 2.0L Automatic),

Could it be solenoids in the gearbox or the selecting switch , or gearbox stuck in shiftlock

 

Please help if anyone had the same problem , im from south africa and car parts are very expensive this especially from agents.
