garage recommendation

my car is due for an expensive service. I have contacted my local toyota (swindon) and frankly their service and customer service has been pathetic. I have been waiting for over a month for them to quote me for a full service + a couple of additional jobs. I expect the value to be £400+ but despite calling them many times and being promised a quote by the end of that day, 30 + days later and nothing has come through.

So I am looking for alternatives within 40 miles radius of this town. Competence and quality work are more important than free coffee and army of useless personnel wondering around like lost monkeys (yet asking for £120/h labour). So I will gladly go to a non franchise place.
