Hi all, Avensis 2.2 D 2009, brilliant machine :)....................however.................

Quick question, hope there's an easy fix.

Every time my front wipers are on & I switch on full beam they slow down!

All other electrics seem to operate fine just this. Any ideas, thanks

I'm assuming this is with the engine running.  There must either be a restriction in the power supply, or an earth isn't quite as good as it should be.  I'd start with looking at the the earthing.  You could temporarily take an earth from the Battery directly to/near to one of the the headlamps, and connect to the earth at the headlamp.  Watch for any improvement.

Sorry I can't be more explicit on detail, but don't know the Avensis.

Was the earth on the wiper motor. ran a wire from motor to negative on Battery and wipers increased to normal speed.......(inital issue was with wipers slowing down while head lights on) I then connected a short wire from the wiper motor body onto a securing stud on the body. All good....................................thanks for your reply.

However the next day all the car electrics started playing up and now car wont start, all warning lights are on ! Wish me luck im off to dig out the multi meter now ............
