Rav4 hybrid outselling rest of range

I was perusing Toyota GB's sales figures today - year to date for 2016 (Jan-Mar inclusive).

Noticed the Rav4 hybrid outsold both the petrol and diesel versions combined. 1,370 Rav4 hybrids sold compared to 1,171 Rav4 petrols and diesels.

I recently drove my friends '15 Valvematic CVT Rav4, and it was very nice. I asked her why she and her husband did not go for the Hybrid, and it was what they could afford and the deal they got.

The cabin and boot space is great, and I would buy one but don't really need the four wheel drive. The CVT is great. Since there never be a Hybrid Avensis, then the Auris and Rav4 will be options.
