Electric Windows warranty

My friend has a 2013 Yaris , the electric Windows is fault, can not operate, any one know does it cover by manufacturer warranty? Thanks

Which windows don't operate? All? Passenger windows? Driver's window?

Are you sure he/she hasn't pushed the little button on the switch console that deactivates the windows?

If this is on, then the windows won't operate.

Yes of course. If the switch is at fault, then this is down to a manufacturing defect and Toyota will replace free of charge.

If the person resides in the UK, and the car was purchased new in the UK, they should be covered by Toyota GB's five year/100,000 mile new car warranty. If they reside outside the UK, their new car warranty will be 3 years/100,000km - so depending when the car was first registered in 2013 they may or may not be covered. Ie: if the car was first registered before 3rd May 2013, their new car warranty will have expired; if registered after 3rd May 2013, they should have some of the new car warranty remaining.
