Recently fitted a full system decat, I'm still to fit a lamba sensor spacer to get rid of the lights on the dash, my question is to those who have decats.....does the engine get up to temperature alot quicker than normal? Would getting the lights off the dash fix this?

Removing the cat can cause problems. The engine now has much less backpressure; which can reduce torque considerably, and are you planning to refit and then remove the cat, and lambda sensor when the MOT is due? (post Aug 1992 the car will have to have a 3 way cat fitted to pass the MOT)

Yes I have a replacement cat, the light has now gone with a lambda spacer but as you have rightly said I do feel there is a loss in power, to which I think I am going to fit the cat and try to gain some back
