Hi

i have a late 2015  Yaris 1.33 sport . I just had 10000 mile first service , at dealers, they said my brake pads were worn down to 4 MM. , and the discs were 1mm off the 19mm minimum. Now I I'm not an hard driver n not a soft driver but this don't seem right after only 10000 miles , also they tell me both my rear shockers have gone which seems very strange to me, they are doing the shocks on warrenty PLEASE HLEP !!😱😱😱

You don't necessarily have to be hard on the brakes to wear them down, just use them a lot. If you are driving in towns and cities for the majority of the time, then they would be getting frequently used.

Just to put it into perspective reference the wear on the discs. My Aygo needed them replacing at the 22,000 mile mark, as they were worn to the allowable limit. Seems original Toyota discs are a little softer than some, as my Nissan Almera reached 60,000 miles before needing replacing, and I drove that exactly the same as I do the Aygo.

You've still got plenty of usable pad and disc thickness, but I would expect to be replacing both before the 22,000 mile mark in your case.

As for the shocks, that's mysterious, but at least they're getting replaced under warranty. Maybe a bad batch were fitted at the factory!
