Wee Squeak

My car is going into the main dealer on Wednesday for it's service and MOT but today developed a wee squeak from the back (I think it's the rear). It does it when I start off then when I brake it goes away. I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is something like that to indicate that the brake shoes on the back are ready for replacement. Does anyone know anything about thisor any other ideas for the squeak? It'll be 10 years old next week and has done 72,000 miles so I'm surprised they've lasted this long. It's still on the original Battery as well, I am just so impressed with my car which I've had from new.

Sounds like one of the rear brake shoes has corroded and sticks on one of the cylinders . Needs a strip down , clean and (careful) greasing of strategic points with copperease of brake grease..  Or the adjuster is stuck..
