Hello,

Can we update the firmware of the Touch 2, but the non navigation systems? The new upgrades for Go and Go Plus have new menus and interface, can we add only this part to ou Touch 2? Thanks

But i found that the basic Touch2 can be upgraded via .kwi file. Why Toyota'2 not liberate this file? We can get this file somewhere?

According to what I've found the reason is other than an alteration to the menu structure the update brings nothing else to the Touch screen, it does not bring any upgrades, fixes or patches so whilst newer cars will eventually start to get the new menu structure as they are launched there is little/no point or benefit to pushing an update to older Touch 2 systems the main benefits of the update are all focused on the "Go" navigation.

I urge caution if you try to separate the .kwi files from the overall update files as if you cause any damage or suffer any failures, Toyota request software info for warranty purposes & unapproved tinkering will result in claim rejection.
