Auto Foldable Mirror Issue

I have a Toyota Rav 4 2003 Model and I believe that it did not come with Auto foldable mirror option before. My left side passenger mirror broke and I had ordered a new part from Amazon which comes with the electric foldable mirror facility.. I thought it would not be use as u needed a separate module and installed the mirror. suddenly while driving today morning the mirror folded in and has locked itself in that position. I tried switching off the engine auto locking using the remote but the mirror wont open.. I tried to manually open without much applying the pressure but it was not opening.... I am thinking to decouple the electrical cord will it then make my mirror go into open position or not? can some one help me..... My car doesnot have a auto foldable switch ....
