Hi all

Today my soft close boot handle didnt work, so i got in the back of my 2003 estate and put my key in the slot in the pullo utp anel on the back door and wiggled it about until it unlocked the boot so i could open it and see whats wrong

with the boot open i accidentally knocked the boot catch to a locked position and now i cant for thel ife of me get it to an unlocked position

surely the key/screwdrive in the same slot should work? it isnt and also does nayone have experience of this- do you thin k ill need a new soft close handle too?

will disconnecting the Battery help??

i cant see anything online how to close a boot thats locked so any advice is appreciated

thanks

You should check the wires between the body and boot. Last week i had to fix the boot wire in my car, because it had broken in half. The boot wire is blue (there was like four or five blue wires:angry: in that bundle)

Try to put something in the boot catch to pull it to open position and at the same time from the other side operate the manually opening latch.

Hope you can make it working again.

Check the wires first before buying new parts.

Its easy to check, with a flathead screwdriver disconnect that black rubber thing:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: from the body or/and the boot. Then pull each blue wire, if one of them comes out just fix it.
