Help/guidance changing the door on a gen 7?

Hi guys,

I have an '06 GT (UK, 2ZZ with the silly body kit) which has a passenger door full of dents and pug and so on, which has also been badly re-sprayed, so I have a straight replacement door.

The replacement door is just the bare door with the wires, no window mechanism installed or anything.

Is anyone able to give me a quick guide (or a link to a guide ) on how to swap out the door, and transplant everything from the old one (window mechanism, lock, electronics, etc) into the new one..? Will I encounter any issues with aligning it an so on?

Alternatively, does the outer skin detatch/am I able to just change the skin?

Thanks! :)

Alternatively, could someone direct me to a Toyota forum with active members..?

Hey Acme

I can't say I've ever replaced a door so can't guide you but maybe these two official Toyota workshop manuals I have will be of use to you.
I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Hope this helps!
