Anyone fitter pre face-lift t-22 grill to face-lift model T22?

Wondering how difficult it can be and if the shapes will fit if I cut away the bits surrounding the headlights to the correct shape.  I'm aware there will probably be some fabrication of brackets etc. Has this been done? Will it fit? Do I require a pre face-lift bumper for it to work?

The pre facelift Mk1 had separate panels under the headlights, where as the facelift bumper includes all the colour panels. The diagrams below show how different the bumpers are.

The facelift:

Before I sold my Mk1, I had to remove one of the headlamps to retrieve a side bulb that fell inside the unit. The grill, indicator and the little panel had to be removed before removing the headlamp.

It will have to be fabrication.

Thank you sooo much for the diagrams they are very usefull. Luckily the headlights seem to be the same apart from the trim buts that is all in one on the face-lift. Just hoping the leading edge of the face-lift 'bumpery bit' (getting technical here!) lines up with the non face-lift. Looks similar. I wanna put the Sr style front grill in and determined to get it to work. Wish the caldina TRD was cheaper and available here!

Well cutting a long story short.  It's not easy and nothing lines up. Not finished yet but I wouldn't recommend doing this haha.

Great mod Nathaniel. The red horns behind the grill, make the look.

The wheels look good too.

Any other/mods upgrades - fog lamps, in-car audio?
