Hi experts.

Could I have opinions please on the 1.33 vvt petrol Auris Touring Sports versues the 1.6 petrol of the same car? The former are easy to find ex-rental, but is the smaller engine a bit sluggish for an estate car?

cheers

The 1.33 is obviously going to be more sluggish than the 1.6, as the 1.6 has 32% more bhp and better torque. Depends what type of driving you're going to be using the car for as to whether it is an issue. Your best bet would be to test drive both and see which fits your intended use the best, and which you prefer.

I was a bit surprised to see that the 1.33 version shares the same final drive ratio of 4.562 with the 1.6 version.

According to the table (attached) it's only the MMT and the 1.4 diesels which have the higher final drive ration of 3.944.
