Prius headlights

My new Prius is due for delivery in July. We live in the back of beyond - has anyone driven one of these in the dark on unlit country roads and able to comment on how good the lights are?

Hi. I should get mine be in the next couple of weeks, so if you've still had no response I should be able to update you.

I'll be interested to see how effective the auto main beam facility is too.

The new LED headlights are ultra bright, ultra white and exceptionally good on unlit country roads. The Gen3 used to scare me and I fitted more powerful lamps, but the Gen4 is like chalk and cheese. I feel very confident with the level of light.

Yep!  Got mine Friday, and driving home from a restaurant a little while ago, I too found the lights much better.  There's a good spread to the left, with decent cut off to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers.

The Auto mainbeam worked well too.

The auto lights switch on happens when it's still fairly light, but there's no fully off option.  I'd still rather make this decision myself, maybe with a warning from the car if it thinks they should be on when they're not.
