Disable a Toyota Yaris From Starting?

Hello All,

 

Im wanting to do a quick starter and Battery test later on a Yaris, and i was wondering whats the best way to temporally disable a Toyota Yaris from starting. i want it to crank but not start. Now as you are aware, Toyota's are made to work etc, so im just looking for a quick way of disabling the car from starting to do the testing and without doing much damage to the car.

The car is a 2012 model.

If it isn't a keyless one, you can take the transponder module out of the key and start it with just the key alone; Without the transponder the starter will run but the immobiliser will stop the engine from firing.

 

Next easiest option is probably to yank the fuse for the fuel pump.
