where id the dimmer switch on my toyota

I have just got a second hand corolla verso and it is very good but when I switch on th lights the dashboard lights almost dim out is there a dimmer switch on this vehicle I have looked but cant find one

If it is similar to other models, with the ignition and headlights on, push the trip meter button and up to five bars ascending in size are displayed. Keep the button depressed and the bars will decrease/increase - the more bars, the brighter the instrumernt lighting.
