Looking to buy a prius 2006 - 2009 model need some advise

id love to hear from owners and which is the best model to go for?  also the mileage claims are they true?

Hi and welcome.

I drive a Gen 2 Prius 2008.

I have heard that some earlier Gen 3s have / had some issues over noise and rattles.

Mine doesn't have any of those.

I average 50-56 MPG with a lot of motorway and fast A road driving.

So yes the mileage claims are accurate and true.

Maybe some drivers of the Gen 3 can give you further info about them

2006-2009 Prius = Gen2 Prius

However, mid 2009 the Gen3 Prius was launched (but was called the 2010 Prius).

Are you looking at gen2 only or considering an early gen3 as well?

considering both, whatever one is best value for money
