Tail Lights failed

John,

I owned a Mk1 Avensis for 12.5 years until early this year. I did have to change the rear stop and tail bulbs, plus the licence plate bulbs. At the front the side lights and headlights. i had to change the front indicator bulbs as the orange tint was flaking off. The most troublesome was the interior dome light house which was causling the "dome" fuse to blow. replaced that. The bulbs changed were the one used the most. Can I add the heater and dash bulbs? The bulb that I changed the most was the ECON light.

The worst was the Hazard warning light switch. It is a special bulb that cost a lot from Toyota!

In general Toyota electrics seem good and fairly reliable (unless you accidentally blow the 100w fusible link). Only age and condition may effect the performance.
