So got the aygo few months back and it's too risky to drive as the pedal is going to the floor. Front disks/ pads have been changed and rear shoes and 2 leaking cylinders changed along with brake fluid Bleed threw.  I'm an engineer in the royal navy and am away often and the car is needed for my lass to get to work so we had a new master cylinder fitted thinking it could be that. Still the same issue the problem is intermittent and she says it's only at low speeds but haven't had the problem myself when driving it. Could it be an abs issue such as the abs pump/ modal? Would be great ul for any help thanks

Hello Stuart - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

For some reason you posted the thread in 'website suggestions', rather than the Aygo club, and it has been fairly well hidden as a result.

Thread moved to the Aygo club, to hopefully generate some response.

Please say when it occurs ie how many miles from a cold start. And how she gets the brakes to work again.

Please confirm the brake warning light is on with handbrake and goes off when driving.

Please try and reproduce. And ask her to feel each wheel to see if one is hotter than other three, when symptoms appear.

Does the auto roll easy on the flat?

Possible is overheating rear drum intermittent sticking on.

Remove drum remove wear lip with sharp half round file both sides. Check still inside service limits. Strip drum rebuild merest trace of copper loaded gease on moving surfaces cept for auto adusters which desirably are unmarred and clinical clean.

When you are all good replace offending hub and rebleed system.

I think it needs to be re-bled with a vaccuum system, there's definately still air in the system.
