wots hapenning im after some info can anyone tell me if the bottom end of the engine out of a corolla gt ae82 fwd d reg is the same as corolla gti ae92 g reg non tvis cos i can get one chaep and i need one . i will look forward to hearing from anyone cheerz................salz

Engine is same engine and will fit but eary engines had smaller end bearings and different blocks, heads were different on early tvis engines,they had bigger ports and different injection system.late non tvis had smaller ports and stronger block. engine will fit but have to use ae92 head injection system ect.prop have to change flywheel and clutch too hope this helps :)

hey thanks for the info, so i need to change the flywheel? ive got a ae 92 engine thats lost its oil pressure and its knocking ive changed the crank shells and it still knocks and ive still got no oil pressure,so i want to replace the bottom end with one from an ae82 fwd you say i have to change the flywheel can i change it with the flywheel that is from the ae 92?will it fit? :) cheerz..............sal :)

your ae92 prob got bigger clutch and dif flywheel but will bolt to early engine and your head will bolt straight on to early block.
