Which service do I need ?

Hi,

My 2012 Aygo is due a service, except I'm not sure which one. Normally this would be a simple process but the low mileage at the beginning of it's life complicates things a bit.

 

10k service at 5,800 and 1yr

20k service at 12,036 and 2yr

30k service at 19,699 and 3yr

 

I'm now on 30k but the online booking system is recommending the 40k/4yr service. Thing is, it has not completed 40k and is not 4yrs old yet. So in my opinion it only needs a 30k service. From what I can tell the only difference is Brake fluid change, Cabin air filter, Fuel filter, Gearbox Oil change.

 

So which should I get it booked in for? Any reasons I can't just get the 30k service?

Toyota service intervals are every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

If one does less than 10,000 miles in a year, the servicing should be time based - every 12 months.

If one does more than 10,000 miles in a year, the servicing should be done on the mileage basis - every 10,000 miles.

So your car is due the 4 year/40,000 miles service, plus the brake fluid change.

Your next service is due 12 months or 10,000 miles from your last service @ 29669 miles and as your last service was an intermediate service the next service will be the 4yr/40,000 mile Full + service which under Toyota's new pricing scheme includes the Brake fluid change, this is the largest service the Aygo needs.

Okie, looks like I'll have to get that done then. Thats annoying its £250 (shows full rather than full+) 

Prolly want new discs and pads too as they were shown as lipped at the 20k service. 

Anyone know if the LED DRL's are covered on warranty as one has failed.

Would have thought the DRL's would be covered.

My aygo is a 2012 and I've done just under 28000 miles I called to book my service and it's booked in for its 4 year service
