2006 Avensis Multi Information Display problem

Hello Guys,

I have a strange problem on my 2006 Avensis. The multi information display stops showing the values for the selected category from time to time. Say i have avarage on the 1'st screen and range on the second, it will sometimes show only the value for the avarage consumption, sometimes it shows both, sometimes it does not show any of the 2. It changes while i drive or when i start the car or whenever it wants...

But here is the weird part: the problem is only for the values because it will allways show the units (L/100km, km, etc). I attached a photo of the problem...

I took the display out and reconnected it but it did not fix the problem. Any ideea on what might be the cause? Onboard comp, a bad connection on a whire?

I would change the unit. They are cheap enough of eBay

Disconnect the Battery terminal for 10 min it might reset the values
