Please any body with experience of 2001 Rav 4, it has been having fault of stoping and will not start

Any more detail? Is it petrol or diesel? When does the car stop and not start? When it is cold or warm, etc?

It uses petrol and it stops when it is warm

sounds like the dreaded Distributor, try getting hold of some freeze-it spray and when it stops spray the Distributor all over the ally casing if it re-starts it will prove it. very cheap from scrap yard and very easy to replace just needs the timing to be checked good luck......
